AllerAir is proud to offer air purifiers that feature the deepest carbon beds on the market, with up to 40 different proprietary carbon blends. Their carbon beds are made up of actual granular pieces of carbon, not crushed carbon, and can be customized with between 4 pounds and 120 pounds of carbon to efficiently absorb any gasses, odors and chemicals. The lifespan of their carbon is far greater than many competitors, and has an unparalleled absorption capacity.

About AllerAir Industries

The AllerAir® Story

Established in 1996, AllerAir® Industries has the heart of a family business, with the mindset of a fortune 500 competitor. When a close family member was diagnosed with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), President Sam Teitelbaum set out to research and develop an air purifier that would provide safe and effective relief. Along with partner, Wayne Martin, this initiative quickly established AllerAir® in the industry and led to the development of over 100 different air purifier models. Now with offices in the U.S. and Canada and a committed team of employees as well as Indoor Air Quality Experts, AllerAir® has become a prominent leader of air purification units for residential, business and commercial applications alike. Institutions such as the Mayo Clinic, Boeing Aircraft and the U.S. Army are just some of their higher profile customers.

AllerAir® Feature High-Grade Activated Carbon and HEPA Technology

AllerAir® believes in making air purifiers and air cleaners that truly clean your air – not partly clean, but do so completely. AllerAir® believes that all indoor air purifiers need activated carbon in addition to a high quality HEPA filter. Other air purifiers only focus on filtering out particles, but AllerAir® purifiers which feature activated carbon go one step further and protect you from the harmful chemicals, gases and odors present in every home and office.

This comprehensive approach to designing air purifiers address all the major irritants that affect poor indoor air quality: dust, pollen, pet dander, pet hair, dust mites, dangerous airborne chemicals, gases, fumes and annoying persistent odors like cigar and cigarette smoke and pet odors.

Environmentally friendly and cost effective units.

AllerAir Breathe Cleaner

AllerAir® is proud to offer air purifiers that feature the deepest carbon beds on the market with up to 40 different proprietary carbon blends. Their carbon beds are made up of actual granular pieces of carbon, not crushed carbon, and can be customized with between 4 pounds and 36 pounds of carbon to efficiently absorb gases, odors and chemicals. The lifespan of AllerAir's carbon is far greater than many competitors and has an unparalleled absorption capacity. AllerAir units have a metal housing, not plastic and are built with powder-coated paint, preventing any off gassing from occurring. In addition, the pre-filters provide increased filtration and extend the performance of the HEPA filter.

With increased dangers and illnesses associated with poor air quality, AllerAir® also recognizes the responsibility it has to create units that provide businesses and residences with the cleanest indoor air possible. AllerAir® is proud of its superior carbon filtration methods and takes it a step further by offering more options and features at an equal or better price value than its competitors. With the most extensive line of air purifiers available on the market, along with North American manufacturing, AllerAir® is confident that its line of products are the most advanced on the market today.

Activated Carbon and HEPA Air Purifiers

Activated carbon is among the most effective materials known today for treating airborne chemicals, gases and odor. It's used widely by the military, hospitals, scientific and industrial facilities and disaster response units for its safe and powerful absorbing properties.

To be truly efficient, activated carbon filters need to provide enough exposure time for pollutants to be absorbed. This means that larger, deeper bed carbon filters will absorb more airborne pollutants.

HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air and describes a filter that can remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles measuring 0.3 microns or larger. True HEPA filters are composed of a dense web of fibers and are considered the safest and most efficient method to eliminate particles.

When used in combination, activated carbon filters and HEPA filters (high efficiency particle filters), offer the most comprehensive air purification available to treat airborne particles, chemicals, gases and odor.

Air purifiers with this technology are especially suited for allergy relief, asthma prevention, multiple chemical sensitivity, cigar and cigarette odor removal, pet odor removal, newborn baby health and general home and office use.

AllerAir® air purifiers use a five-stage filtration process:

  • A pre-filter to capture large particles which also helps improve the performance of the HEPA filter stage.
  • A medical-grade HEPA filter guaranteed to trap 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns in size or larger.
  • An activated carbon filter with many pounds of granular virgin carbon to filter out chemicals, gases and odors.
  • Two anti-microbial filters.

AllerAir Cost Efficient Features

Cost Efficient Features

AllerAir® units offer cost efficient features that allow you to maintain a higher quality of indoor air, without having to incur expensive upkeep and maintenance costs that are associated with many other air purifiers. AllerAir® purifiers have separate HEPA and carbon filters, allowing you to change filters at different intervals. Many other air purifiers combine the HEPA and carbon filter into one stage, forcing you to replace all the filters even if only one part is truly exhausted.

AllerAir More Carbon

More Carbon

Unlike many of AllerAir's competitors who use mere ounces of carbon or a carbon-sprayed mesh, AllerAir® uses many pounds of deep bed activated carbon to effectively absorb dangerous airborne chemicals. The more carbon an air purifier has, the more chemicals it will be able to absorb.

Many air purifiers that claim to have carbon have such an insignificant amount of actual carbon within their units, that the air purifier is rendered as ineffective as it would be had it had no carbon whatsoever. Carbon is the key for chemical absorption and so only an air purifier with many pounds of granular carbon will be effective.
