Charlotte, North Carolina, high on the list for cities with the worst fall allergies

Fall allergies are bad, but some have it worse than others. Residents of Charlotte, North Carolina, are itching and sneezing up a storm. Fox News in Charlotte recently reported that the city was ranked in the top 20 in a survey of the country's worst cities for fall allergy sufferers.

According to the news source, results were based on medicine sales and pollen counts. One of the biggest culprits is ragweed, but since it's been such a rainy fall, mold is becoming increasingly problematic. Last week, between 5 and 8 inches of rain fell in Charlotte, and although the rain provided temporary relief from ragweed pollen, it has some suffering worse than ever from mold spores.

Although there are over-the-counter medications for allergy symptoms, many have negative side effects like drowsiness. If you think you have mold in your house, one of the best things you can do is purchase a professional-grade air purifier, like those available through us at FreshAirPro.

One of our top-selling filtration systems is the HealthPro Plus by IQAir. While most air purifiers can only remove particles larger than .3 microns, IQAir's HealthPro Plus features a HyperHEPA filtration system, which can actually filter particles as small as .003 microns in size.
