Houseplants linked to improved mood, air quality

Recent research has found that houseplants lift peoples' moods in addition to being extremely efficient at purifying indoor air through their conversion of carbon dioxide into oxygen.

"All plants add oxygen and create a healthier indoor environment," Chris Raimondi of the Professional Landcare Network told the Shreveport Times. "In addition, some plants provide the added benefit of removing toxins from the air."

According to the news source, plants can remove as much as 20 percent of dust from the air by emitting water vapor.

Those looking for an even more efficient method of purifying the air should invest in a professional grade air purifying system. A machine equipped with a HyperHEPA filter, such as the IQAir HealthPro Plus, can eliminate well over 99 percent of all particulate matter from the air.

The HealthPro Plus combines four advanced filtration technologies to effectively remove dust, dust mites, pollen, pet dander, mold, smoke, gases, odors and other airborne contaminants.
