AllerAir® AirMedic MCS
The AllerAir® AirMedic MCS is the most efficient air purifier available for individuals who are super sensitive to chemicals and for those who suffer from allergies and/or MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities). The AirMedic MCS was specifically designed to combat even the most minuscule sources of chemicals and other allergens, which act as triggers for those individuals with extreme sensitively to these pollutants. Aside from the exceptional Medical-Grade HEPA filter, the AirMedic MCS features 18 lbs. of activated carbon which provides the highest degree of absorption for a wide array of chemicals, gases and odors.
The level of purification and the protection that the AllerAir® AirMedic MCS provides does not end with its unique configuration of filters. The AirMedic MCS employs proprietary "Green" Technology in addition to featuring 360° air intake, variable speed control and improved seals of the filter chambers as well as to the motor. The AirMedic MCS provides the most complete relief possible sparing no expense.
The AllerAir® AirMedic MCS is subjected to a number of rigorous tests, one being the independent DOP Test. This testing method is a Government Standard Test (SF209) which tests for any possible HEPA filter leakage. Generally referred to as the Di-Octyl Phthalate (DOP) test, it introduces a dense cloud of sub-micronic particulate which are then condensed to form 0.3 micron particles with very little variation in size, straight into the membrane of the HEPA filter. Only air purifiers of the highest integrity and design, pass this test. The AllerAir® AirMedic MCS is proud to be DOP Certified.

AllerAir’s "GREEN" Technology
AllerAir’s "GREEN" Technology is a major element behind the AirMedic MCS air purifier. Great care was taken to design a purifier which used environmentally friendly “GREEN” materials and which have no risk of off-gasing. The AirMedic MCS uses absolutely no glues, no silicone, no caulking, no neoprene, no Styroform, no bonding and no varnish of any kind. In fact, the entire outer housing of the purifier is all-metal and has a safe, powder-coated carbon finish. In addition, this unit uses an organic cotton pre-filter which is completely free of chemicals and synthetics. The AirMedic MCS also uses inert gaskets, a sealed motor and eco-safe, water-soluble AFM bonding.
18 lbs. of Activated Carbon
Activated carbon is at the heart of an AllerAir® air purifier. The exclusive role of the carbon stage is to neutralize, absorb and remove airborne chemicals, gases and odors. Some manufacturers only use a few ounces of carbon or a carbon-sprayed mesh in their air purifiers, which is simply inadequate. Because of AllerAir’s firm commitment to quality and performance, AllerAir® uses many pounds of deep bed activated carbon to effectively absorb dangerous airborne substances.
To be truly efficient, carbon filters need to provide enough exposure time for pollutants to be absorbed. This means that larger and deeper bed carbon filters will absorb more airborne pollutants. This variety of carbon is used widely by hospitals, the military, scientific and industrial facilities and disaster response units for its safe and powerful absorbing properties. The more carbon an air purifier has, the more chemicals it will be able to absorb. For serious chemical and gas absorption, only an air purifier with significant amounts of granular activated carbon will be effective.
Medical-Grade HEPA Technology
HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) refers specifically to a filter that can remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles measuring 0.3 microns or larger. True HEPA filters are composed of a dense web of specialized fibers and are considered the safest and most efficient method for eliminating particles. When used in combination, activated carbon and HEPA filters offer the most comprehensive air purification available to treat airborne particles, chemicals, gases and odors.
