The AllerAir® 6000 DX Vocarb is the most powerful air purifier available in the 6000 Series for treating VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) as well as other gases, odors and particulate matter. It is specifically designed for heavy-duty air filtration of large, severely contaminated environments. The 6000 DX Vocarb incorporates an extra-deep carbon filter bed, which is designed to treat very heavy concentrations of chemicals and odors. With 36 lbs. of activated carbon, the 6000 DX Vocarb provides enhanced absorption of VOC's and other airborne toxins such as formaldehyde, benzene and other airborne pollutants, which are difficult to trap. The AllerAir® 6000 DX Vocarb utilizes a specialized Vocarb-blend of activated carbon in addition to a powerful Medical-Grade micro-HEPA filtration stage which removes 99% of all airborne particles down to 0.1 microns.

Activated carbon is at the heart of an AllerAir® air purifier. The exclusive role of the carbon stage is to neutralize, absorb and remove airborne chemicals, gases and odors. Some manufacturers only use a few ounces of carbon or a carbon-sprayed mesh in their air purifiers, which is simply inadequate. Because of AllerAir’s firm commitment to quality and performance, AllerAir® uses many pounds of deep bed activated carbon to effectively absorb dangerous airborne substances.

To be truly efficient, carbon filters need to provide enough exposure time for pollutants to be absorbed. This means that larger and deeper bed carbon filters will absorb more airborne pollutants. This variety of carbon is used widely by hospitals, the military, scientific and industrial facilities and disaster response units for its safe and powerful absorbing properties. The more carbon an air purifier has, the more chemicals it will be able to absorb. For serious chemical and gas absorption, only an air purifier with significant amounts of granular activated carbon will be effective.

Medical-Grade Micro-HEPA Technology

HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) refers specifically to a filter that can remove at least 99% of airborne particles measuring 0.1 microns or larger. True HEPA filters are composed of a dense web of specialized fibers and are considered the safest and most efficient method for eliminating particles. When used in combination, activated carbon and HEPA filters offer the most comprehensive air purification available to treat airborne particles, chemicals, gases and odors.

UV Light Upgrade Option

Customize the AllerAir® 6000 DX Vocarb air purifier with an additional level of air filtration by adding a UV (ultra violet) germicidal lamp. UV light works by breaking down microorganisms and disrupting their DNA, making them unable to reproduce and in effect, "kills" or neutralizes them. Excellent for controlling airborne mold mycotoxins, bacteria and viruses.
